Day Care

Day Care

Will be an all day event. The day will start with a socialising session with the other dogs attending day care or staying for a holiday and then it’s off for a long walk. The afternoon will be play time with toys and the other dogs or another walk.

Then finally an afternoon nap, where your dog will be able to snooze in a fully centrally heated kitchen on a bed of their own. At the end of the day your dog will be collected at a mutually agreed time.

Frequently Asked Questions
Would you be able to collect my dog for Day Care?

This can be arranged, however this will need to be negotiated as other dogs attending for Day Care and Holiday Stays will also be being dropped off by their owners from 0800 hrs – 0930 hrs.

Do I need to provide anything?

No, however if your dog is not being collected before 1700 hrs then food will need to be provided.

Will my dog be crated?

No, no dogs are crated during the day and only at night if the owner states – this only applies to puppies if necessary.

Will my dog be left at any time?

No, no dogs are left on their own at any time (this includes holiday stays). If I do need to go out to the shop for food then the dogs will always come with me in the van. If I need to go out and the dogs are not able to come with me then arrangements are made for a dog sitter to help me out.

Maisy has been staying with Emma for the day and also for holidays since she was only a few months old. 3 years on we would never consider using anyone else. We count ourselves so lucky to have met Emma, and to be able to know Maisy is being looked after by someone who is trustworthy, capable and also a really lovely person – it makes our lives a lot easier and stress free! Plus Maisy always comes home tired from all the fun, which is a bonus – anyone that can tire a beagle out is a genius to us! Thank you so much Emma x

We have been using Gone To The Dogs for approximately 3 years as we have found kennels to be unfriendly with little exercise and dogs kept in small pens with a run and no contact with other dogs.
We needed a friendly and caring person who loves dogs and Emma Brown is such a person. She takes dogs for walks and provides day care for a number of dogs in a home environment where the dogs get on well with each other. She provides dog walking, day care, overnight stays and holiday cover in her own home which enable the dogs to feel secure and loved with supervision at all times. She has an enclosed field where she lets all the dogs off their leads whilst walking in the morning and afternoon in the summer months. If the weather is unsuitable in the afternoon then she allows them to socialise in her home and garden. She encourages socialisation which is a very important part of a dog’s life.

Emma is fully insured and registered with the Local Council and is very flexible regarding over-night stays. She has a fully equipped van with specially fitted dog crates. We have no hesitation in recommending Gone To The Dogs for social accommodation with a friendly and efficiently run environment.

Meg has been going to Gone To The Dogs for nearly 3 years. Due to a change in personal circumstances I needed somewhere to send Meg at least once a week for day care. After unsuccessfully trying a couple of other people I was lucky enough to spot Emma’s van. Emma called me straight back to arrange a visit to meet Meg at my house. I immediately felt at ease knowing Meg would be in safe hands. Not only is Emma incredibly knowledgeable at caring for dogs, she is kind, trustworthy and most importantly reliable.

Meg now also spends holidays with Emma and I never feel guilty at leaving her. Meg jumps straight of the car and runs to Emma’s door. I know she has been walked, loved and well looked after.

Our Cocker Spaniel ‘Boz’ has been going to Gone To The Dogs for short stays for about 6 years. He loves going and can’t wait to get inside the house to greet Emma when we arrive.

When we first met Emma we were impressed with hr professionalism. She visited us at home and we were given a comprehensive pack of information including terms and conditions, costs, a description of services and a copy of her business licence. Since that time we have recognised the high standard of care she gives to the dogs – and she loves them.

She has also been able to provide doggy care at fairly short notice to cover a few emergencies and for that as well we are most appreciative.

We have recommended Gone To The Dogs to our doggy friends.

Whether it is day care, an overnight stay, or a week’s holiday Emma is my ‘go to person’. She is honest, reliable and has an affinity with dogs. They are safe in her care. I cannot recommend Emma highly enough.
